What is it like to be a student at Ranger College Cosmetology?

Being a student at Ranger College Cosmetology is similar to working in a full-service salon. Students receive hands-on experience that prepares them for a career in the cosmetology industry.

Theory takes place from 8:00-9:20 AM. The students will be in the classroom, learning all aspects of the industry. The first 160 hours of the program are spent learning the basics and getting personal training from experienced professionals. Then the first clients are introduced--the manikins!

After the students complete 160 hours of coursework, they begin working in the student salon, getting experience with real clients. With guidance of the instructors, students shampoo, cut, style, perm, color, apply makeup, and give facials, manicures, and pedicures. Students develop relationships with guests and can even build a clientele. The skills learned at Ranger College Cosmetology are transferable to any beauty environment.
